An installation art experience inspired by the Four Elements of the Alchemist for the Culture Night in Copenhagen at Thorvaldsens Museum.

For the Copenhagen Culture Night 2019 event at Thorvaldsens Museum, SIIKU created an series of installations in four separate rooms; each representing one of the four alchemical elements – Air, Earth, Water, Fire – each matched with the neo-classicist masterpieces of legendary sculptor, Bertel Thorvaldsen.

Materials: Dirt, plant shoots, digital projection, WS2812B LED-strips, ESP8266 microchips, nitrous oxide cartridges, ice, ocean plastic, a vintage fan.
