On November 19, 2020, SIIKU sent a salute to legendary sculptor and 18th century Copenhagen kid, Bertel Thorvaldsen.

BLOOMING PHASE / TEMPUS FLORENS was a commemorative light art installation artwork, paying tribute to the creative blooming of the individual person, Bertel Thorvaldsen, as an example of the blooming phase of each of us, this occurence and possibly reoccurence of creative outburst somewhere between our birth and our death.

The installation sent light rays from the artist’s grave out to the city and citizens of his native Copenhagen, where he himself first saw the light of day on November 19, 1770 – exactly 250 years earlier.
