This year SIIKU presents the inaugural yearly Winter Solstice Commemoration event.
Winter Solstice Commemoration is a celebration of the meeting between light and darkness, and an occasion for optimism and community. As an attempt to get closer to each other and reconnect with nature, this event features an art experience that encourages reflection and togetherness.
Winter Solstice Commemoration is the first of a new yearly 1-day art experience, created from the thoughts of the SIIKU Manifesto. We invite you to join us to celebrate the culmination of the dark of winter, as we once again turn towards lighter times.
As the winter reaches its peak, we celebrate this special seasonal moment of midwinter with melting ice sculptures, video- and light art, art prints and cocktails on this darkest day of the year.
